I was pleased to work with the Sewards to design a new website from the ground up, representing their vacation rental cottages on little Glen Lake: Birch Shores Resort.
The site was designed by Rockwell Art & Design and developed in coordination with Adam of Royal Blue Web, who will also be providing the ongoing website hosting and any ongoing technical support the client may need.
The goal was to create a beautiful, user-friendly, updateable, responsive website on a budget, and that’s what we did!
While their cottages are managed by a third party Vacation Rental Company, the website doesn’t have an online booking feature, but does present the Amenities available on-site, as well as showcases each cottages unique features. See the Cottages & Amenities page.
There are global “footers” and various “calls to action” so the website user knows how to contact them, available dates for booking a vacation and and how to contact/reserve.
The client provided some “must see” while visiting the area, and a list of some of their favorits. With a few special design touches and animations, it made a list of things come to life in a visually engaging way. Check out their “Attractions” page.
In the end, it was a pleasure to work with the Sewards on designing and developing a brand new website from the ground up. A useful, deliverable product that will serve them well for some time.
