Social Media in 2020

January 9, 2020 By Raquel Jackson

Did you know?

“Two billion people use Facebook every month to connect the people and things that matter to them.”

We customize and curate your social media content over the course of the year to achieve your marketing goals and meet your budget needs. Partner with Rockwell Art & Design to stay in front of your customers and reach new ones!

Social media is something that changes, but with the new year settling in, it’s time to reevaluate ways you can improve your marketing strategy in 2020.

SOCIAL MEDIA

“Consumers spend, on average, two hours & twenty-two minutes on social media—every day.“

When people spend time browsing Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, its vital that they can connect to other like-minded people about their interests.

TIP:

Engaging with the people who react and comment on your posts can significantly boost your brand visibility on that platform.

However, there are not many people that want to hang out on a business social media page all day to talk to others, that’s why you hire a partner like Rockwell Art & Design to manage and maintain your social media presence for you so you can focus on the other essential roles you perform for your business.

Create or Join a Group

An wonderful way to build community on social media is via Facebook Groups. You can create or join a group that focuses on your location or niche as a whole. Ideas and shared experiences with other like-minded people on Facebook are why people love hanging out and engaging with these groups.

“79 percent of social media users access their profiles with their smartphones.“

If your business isn’t willing to answer their question, they will find a competitor that helps with customer support issues on their social media account. Your page will get questions and need to support the customers that are engaging with it. If your business doesn’t provide customer service by respondng quickly, internally, you’ll need to make sure a social media manager is doing so for you.

Facebook business pages show “response time” as a way of showing how good you/your page is at responding to direct messages.

Leverage your website’s content

Social media engagement is a wonderful way to mix in content that drives traffic to your website to “learn more” or “read more.” Posts to you social media pages can be beautiful and engaging, while provoking participation or interest in what you’re doing, selling or have to say.

TIP:

Post your website’s blog content with thought-provoking images and questions for readers to your social media pages. The goal is to inspire a discussion and get people interested in what you wrote and click to see more.

Giveaways

You can do all the above right, but to really benefit from social media marketing, you’ll want to create events for your followers. “The more followers interact with your profile, the more likely they are to recheck it in the future for new updates.”

Online giveaways are becoming increasingly popular as new social media brands look for ways to grow their audience. You can offer a free product or gift card to consumers in exchange for sharing your post and tagging their friends.

You’ll see a benefit in exposure from the share, but the tagging friends aspect is essential for acquiring new customers through referrals.

Events

Post about your event “as an event post” on your Facebook page. This will help your business or organization be seen by more people locally by interest, grow your page followers and subscribers, which will in turn translate to real, live participating customers, equalling sales and brand loyalty.
