“An image is worth a thousand words – but a video is worth a thousand “likes.”
Raquel Jackson, graphic designer & small business marketer, suggests trying a simple photo slideshow paired with teaser text content with a link or “call to action” in a Social Media post – helping you make a bigger impact than just one image. For example, a realtor promoting a listing can create a slideshow that is much more likely to get people to look at their listen online rather than just one image of the front of the house from the street view.
“People like engaging posts, this provides the perfect opportunity to to gain more interest.”
Ways to create
Facebook now allows you to create a slideshow right within a regular post to a page. This is a great, simple way to “do it yourself.” However, the music and editing is extremely limited, so if you’re posting often and for a business, I wouldn’t recommend it for regular advertising.
If you have someone doing your social media management for you professionally, ask them what they like to use. I have a monthly subscription to the Adobe suite of software, giving me access to tools like Adobe Spark: a simple but more intuitive option for efficiently creating beautiful photo/graphic posts with texts and customizable layouts as well as videos and even web pages/presentations. This provides an endless amount of options for very professional looking image layouts and video posts.
