Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul. ~John Muir
Fall brings melancholy for some, I’m surprised to find that coming out of my own heart. Just as it is necessity to have bread, I feel it also necessity to make time to go out into nature’s beauty that is around us and gain a “breadth of fresh air.”
We’re fortunate enough to call Leelanau our year round home. Driving along M22 to “work” with mostly National Park as the backdrop, it’s easy to find that escape in everyday moments. Sometimes for me it’s found from the drivers seat, other days its found with the rubber under my feet hitting the trail below.
Keep a positive outlook and don’t let the grey days get you down.
Don’t be afraid to face yourself in difficult moments and be willing to “go there.” Those moments can provide amazing insight, growth and healing.
Seek happiness.
Seek peace.
Intentionally make time to enjoy what each season brings and the opportunities that each new chapter has to offer.
