As of April 21, Google is using mobile-friendliness as a ranking factor in searches.
This change may impact your website’s placement in search results, as announced on their blog. If your website is done on WordPress, it will be mobile-friendly, meaning that it does change size to fit the screen. However, this is no longer good enough.
Is your website Mobile ready?
It’s now recommended that you actually have a differently formatted “mobile website.” Don’t freak out though, it won’t cost you an arm and a leg, There’s plenty of plugins available (some even free to install) that can be added right to your current WordPress website and can be designed to match your Image Brand or theme.
These new “plugins” or “mobile themes” allow your current site’s content to be used, but just get re-formatted for: better visibility, simpler navigation on a mobile device, and allow easy access to your main menu’s and website pages.
