WordPress Tutorial | Beginning

Your WordPress website – behind the scenes

Lets get you to begin by navigating your Dashboard (the background of your website where you can edit & add to its content). Learn the difference between a Post & a Page, and how to add a category to your Post. You’ll learn what Plugins are, however, we’ve already added the proper Plugins you’ll need on your website when we built it!

Why do I need to keep my site updated?

Updating your Plugins are super important to help prevent glitches and other evils of the internet world. If you don’t find you have the interest, know-how or time to keep your website up-to-date, spick-n-span, then ask for help.

Rockwell Art + Design offers monthly packages to fit your business needs and budget, keeping your digital presence clean and fresh!

Widget Areas

Widget is a fancy word for tools or content that you can add, arrange, and remove from the sidebars of your blog. Widgets make it easy to customize the content of your blog sidebar.

Access your widget to edit or move them around in via the Appearance menu in your Dashboard. We may have strategically placed Widgets that make sense on your site, on certain Pages, on either the right or left-hand side and to also appear at the bottom of your site’s pages in the footer.

Your website’s widgets may include contact information, links to your site’s pages, a search bar, or a feed to your Facebook page. These can all be re-arranged, edited, removed, or added to!
